Heat Sink Pad What Could Cause A Laptop To Work For About 20 Minutes And Shut Down?

What could cause a laptop to work for about 20 minutes and shut down? - heat sink pad

I was given an IBM Think Pad. His age, but not obsolete, I fix. It starts and runs well for about 20 minutes on and off. It seems that you can heat, but you hear a fan running. The guy who gave it to me and said that what distinguishes them had grease or heat glue between the processor and heat sink or fan on top. It seemed dry. Could be the problem? Ideas?

May you have any problems with the heat sink ... try to change

Some materials can sometimes be a cause

So .. in the BIOS, if not the load in safe mode and try to

certain things, such as USB sticks, etc can not work ... You must configure the options so that they run after loading dafaults uncertain
